Leadership

GJ began serving as our Lead Pastor in January 2024. He holds five ministry degrees from Baptist colleges and seminaries, including a Doctorate of Ministry in Expository Preaching from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Hillary, have five children—Jack, Kenzie, Jocie, Rhett, and Ben. He enjoys coffee and watching Kentucky basketball.

Joel has served in ministry since 2016 and as Student Pastor at Beacon Hill since 2020. He is a graduate of Boyce College and Southern Seminary. Joel and his wife, Leslie, have been married for nearly 10 years and have two sons, Talon and Justus. Outside of doing ministry, you can find Joel enjoying reading, podcasts, watching soccer, and spending time with his family.

Jessica joined our team as the full-time Children's Director in 2020. Originally from Pickens, South Carolina, she is married to Adam. They have five children—Daniel, Jackson, Ben, Sawyer, and Rachael. Jessica has over twenty years of experience ministering to children and their families, both on staff at a local church and as the director of a children's learning center. In her free time, she likes to sing, do arts and crafts, and drink coffee.

Jake began serving in full-time ministry in 2014 and has been on our staff since 2021. He is married to Monica, and they have 3 kids—James, Emmy, and Lila. Jake holds a degree from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA, where he and his family lived until moving to Somerset. Jake loves sports and playing golf. He has a strong passion for seeing God’s people engaged in worship. 

Heather joined our team in May 2024 as our Executive Administrative Assistant.
